Addition or Modification of a Training Location

A medical faculty that wishes to request a modification to the accreditation of a postdoctoral training program or the addition of one or more training facilities must complete the appropriate form and submit the request to the Collège’s Medical Studies and Accreditation Committee (MSAC).

• Request to add a training facility with a maximum length of stay of at least six (6) months

• Request to add or modify a facility with a maximum length of stay of less than six (6) months: no form needs to be completed. Managers of programs must communicate with the Vice-Dean concerned, who will forward the information to the Collège’s Accreditations section. The addition will be brought to the attention of the MSAC.

• Request for a modification to the accreditation of a postdoctoral training program
  In view of the standardization of the accreditation process, the Vice-Dean concerned must forward any new program addition request to one of the following organizations:
  - College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) – Family Medicine
  - Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada – Other Specialties

• Request for the addition or modification of a “satellite” training facility
  In this case, there is no form to complete. Managers of programs must communicate with the Vice-Dean concerned, who will forward the information to the Collège’s Accreditations section. The addition or modifications will be brought to the attention of the MSAC.
