Mandatory educational activity

Participation in the educational activity on the legal, ethical and organizational aspects of medical practice in Quebec (ALDO-Quebec) is mandatory and is a prerequisite to obtaining a permit to practice in Quebec. (section 12 of the Regulation respecting the terms and conditions for the issuance of the permit and specialist’s certificates by the Collège des médecins du Québec).

To prepare for the activity, you can consult the new ALDO-Quebec digital document in PDF format which is a user-friendly tool that can be used to easily search and access information thanks to its interactive table of contents and printable format.

If you would like to practice medicine in Quebec, make sure that you register for the activity in time so that you do not delay the issue of your permit to practice.

You can register for the activity through the Collège’s Online services. Please see the List of fees.

In case of dissatisfaction

You can file a complaint in the event of dissatisfaction or difficulty in your efforts to obtain a permit or become a member of the Order.

A recourse by an independent government entity is available to you: the Commissioner for Admission to Professions. The commissioner receives and examines any complaint concerning admission to the profession:

  • for any process or steps of admission;
  • against any person or organization involved (the Order or a third party).

Record of attendance: 1 p.m.
Activity: 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The activities are given in webcast.
