If you are dissatisfied with the services provided by a physician or believe that he did not respect his professional obligations, you may choose to inform the Collège of the situation by submitting a request for an inquiry. You may:

On the other hand, a person who has a dispute with a physician over the amount of the account for professional services may apply to the syndic of the Collège des médecins du Québec for conciliation.

To claim damages for harm you believe you have suffered, you must have recourse to the civil courts. Proceedings involving the Inquiries Division are not aimed at granting an indemnity.

In the interests of protecting the individual right to privacy, the Collège des médecins du Québec recommend that the public sends their requests for an inquiry by fax or by mail instead of by email (even if emails are accepted too). You will find our coordinates below. The Collège also wishes to point out that requests for an inquiry must be presented in writing and signed.
