The Deputy Executive Director is responsible for relations with professional orders and partners, primarily in health and human relations. He serves as secretary of the shareable medical activities committee and the prehospital emergency medical services committee.

As such, Dr. Isabelle Tardif promotes the physician's evolving, integrative and collaborative role in teams, including the patient, to ensure the quality and safety of care.

The Deputy Executive Director highlights the College's role in protecting the public, particularly in terms of successful interdisciplinary collaboration.

She advises on the strategic orientations to be deployed and collaborates with all the Collège’s divisions.

The role of the Secretary

Appointed by the Board of Directors (BD), the Secretary of the Order fulfils the duties and responsibilities defined in the Professional Code and the Medical Act.

As Secretary of the BD and the Requests Committee, Dr. Tardif is responsible for preparing the minutes of the meetings of these bodies and ensuring their decisions are implemented. She assumes all the legal responsibilities of the Secretary of the Order and, in particular, maintains and updates the Roll of the Order, maintains the archives and professional files and issues certificates of professional conduct.

She signs permits to practice and is responsible for developing and updating the Collège's regulations. She supports the activities of the committees and working groups mandated by the BD and the Requests Committee and is responsible for producing any documents and briefs required by these bodies.

At the President’s request, the Secretary of the Collège shares the role of representing the Collège and communicating with external partners.

She contributes to the development and visibility of the Order.
