Examinations

This section describes the examinations for the various types of applications submitted to the Collège. These examinations are offered by third-party organizations with which the Collège has an agreement.

The websites of the organizations providing these examinations offer information on eligibility criteria, center and date selection, examination fees, preparatory resources, scoring, results, and other useful information.

Postgraduate training (as a fellow)

According to the government decree, "a fellow (remunated by a university, a government agency, a recognized granting agency or a foundation deemed acceptable by the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux) [...] is a person who has completed their medical training leading to a medical degree, doing advanced training in Quebec as part of a host or exchange program approved by a Quebec faculty of medicine, and who is subject to the provisions concerning them in the agreement between the Fédération des médecins résidents du Québec and the Quebec government."

After less than 5 years and one renewal :

If you passed a Royal College subspecialty examination, you must also pass the basic specialty (primary specialty) examination.
