Applying for entry in a Québec medical School

The request for applying for entry in a Québec medical School, in one of the Québec faculties of medicine, is possible for a candidate who

  • wish to begin medical studies in Québec;
  • wish to pursue or do again the medical studies;
  • hold a medical degree (M.D. diploma).

Candidates who wish to apply for entry in a Québec medical School must apply directly to one of the four Québec faculties of medicine to obtain the applicable conditions.

Faculté de médecine de l’Université de Montréal
Faculté de médecine et des sciences de la santé de l’Université de Sherbrooke

The Collège des médecins du Québec is not involved in the process for entry in a Québec medical School.

At the end of medical studies, the candidate obtains a medical diploma (M.D.) from Québec and can apply for a residency position to do postgraduate medical training.
