Dr. Isabelle Tardif, Secretary of the Order, is responsible for the protection of personal information at the CMQ.

You can contact the CMQ in several ways, including by telephone, email, fax and mail. It is important, however, to know that sending information by email is not completely secure. This is why the CMQ uses its secure messaging service to answer your questions when it involves sending confidential information.

Personal information is any information that concerns a natural person and allows them to be identified, directly or indirectly. This is what characterizes it more specifically:

• It must make something known to someone;
• It must relate to a natural person;
• It must make it possible to distinguish this person from another person or to recognize their nature.

That said, some personal information is public under the law. So it is not confidential. The following are a few examples of personal information that is public described in the Professional Code:

• Information entered on the Roll of the Order;
• Information concerning the places where a professional practices;
• The names of people completing a period of training, the professional activities they are authorized to engage in and the place where they practice their activities;
• The schedule of hearings of the Disciplinary Council;
• Resolutions striking a member off the Roll of the Order or limiting or suspending the member’s right to engage in professional activities, except any medical information or information concerning a third person that they may contain.

Use of Google Analytics

To analyze the visits made to its website, the CMQ uses Google Analytics software. It collects useful information on the behaviour of people who browse the site (number of visits and their duration, path taken, etc.). It is important to specify that these recordings do not identify users in any way.

This information is collected by the CMQ for the purpose of improving its website and for the specific purpose of obtaining navigation statistics.

Access to your information and requests for rectification

You may submit an access request to find out what personal information the CMQ holds about you. You may also have information corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous or if its collection, disclosure or retention is not permitted by law.
